St. Paul is located about 20 milies from the northern tip of Cape Briton Island Nova Scptia and 44 miles south of Newfoundland.
It is about 3 miles long and about 1 mile wide , with peaks of 147 meters on Croggan Mountain.
It was named St. Paul Island in 1497 by the explorer Cabot.
The island is surrounded by a rockfaced cliff. It is coverd with stunted Spruce-Fir trees.
There are no animals on the island, but it is home to many birds and rare plants.     <CY9A 2003 QSL CARD>
