GB8RU - SRM 2004 Special Event Station
Members of the West of Scotland ARS [GM4AGG] and Scottish-Russian ARS
[MM0DGR] will be active as GB8RU before and during the Scottish-Russian
Marathon 2004. Station QTH: Hardgate, Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire. QRA
Locator IO75TW, WAB: NS47. Dates of activity: 7-15 August 2004. Pertinent
equipment available to our station: Transceiver Kenwood TS-940S, Amplifier
SB-220. Antennas: Cushcraft X7, Delta Loop 80 m, Delta Loop 40 m, and a
number of portable antennas. Contacts will be carried out on all HF bands,
CW, SSB and Digital Modes. Special QSL-cards will be issued. Any operator is
welcome to the club shack to operate as GB8RU, just let us know via
"feedback" connection. Further information will be presented on the Scottish
HAM Portal. QSL-cards for contacts with GB8RU should be sent via RSGB
QSL-Bureau or direct to P.O. Box 7469, Glasgow, G42 0YD, Scotland.
