Members of the Korean DX Club (KDXC) have decided to celebrate the
50th anniversary of the Korean Amateur Radio League (KARL), Korea's
IARU (International Amateur Radio Union) society, with a DXpedition to
the Solomon Islands (H44), including activity from the Temotu Province
(H40). Team members will include HL5FUA, Choi Jong-Sool (HL5FUA);
DS2AGH, Gang Ho-Jun; DS2BGV, Yi Ju-Dong; 6K2AVL, Yun Yong-Ju; 6K2DJM,
Yu Byeong-Jo and N1PW (ex HL1PW), Bak Yeong-Su. The team will be
running at least two stations on all bands from 6 through 160 meters
on CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31. The activity will take place during
November. H44HL and H40HL have been requested. The operation from
the Temotu Province will take place from Nendo Island (OC-100) from
November 5th to 11th. Activity from the Solomon Islands (OC-047) is
expected to take place both before and after the H40 operation. They
will be using five beams, two verticals and a dipole. This will
include a 5/8 wave 160 meter vertical, six element 6 meter beam, 75
meter vertical and 30 meter dipole.
